The aim of the Polish Saturday School named Gen. S. Maczek in Kirkcaldy is to teach the Polish language and, through it, to familiarize students with Polish traditions, introduce them to elements of Polish history and geography. We want students to enjoy learning Polish, for Saturday classes to be an interesting experience for them, and for the knowledge gained to be utilized as effectively as possible in travels, in contact with family, peers, and also in their future professional lives. The Polish Saturday School implements a complementary curriculum in the scope of primary school education.
The objectives of the classes include mastering reading and writing skills, acquiring basic knowledge about the homeland, history, geography, and social life in the Polish language.
The Polish Saturday School operates in Kirkcaldy, within the premises of the Polish Club. The school accepts students from the age of 3 to 14 years old. All students are assigned to one of five class groups based on their age.
